Teaching Assistant - SEN Support

Do you have experience supporting children or young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work in a great Primary School in Cardiff to support to a pupil in a Year 2 class with ALN and can display challenging behaviour.

This role is to start February 2021 and will be full time ongoing for the rest of the academic year.

The pupil has additional learning needs so requires someone who has a lot of patience and resilience.

What we're looking for:

• Someone with experience supporting children or young adults with additional learning needs (ALN)
• Someone who is comfortable working with challenging behaviour, must be firm but fair.
• A highly motivated and energetic individual
• Ability to build and maintain solid relationships with staff, students and parents.
• Being a positive role model at all times and be able to create a fun and exciting environment for learning.
• Someone with experiencing working with children either in a classroom setting or coaching.

The school have a team of supportive senior leadership and staff and always on hand to provided support and training for the Teaching Assistant.

Hours will be 8:30-3:30 with half hour break.

Daily pay is GBP65

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
