Contract Type: Term time only, flexbile to you
Salary: £85–£95 per day

Job Summary

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN all-boys secondary school supporting students aged 11 to 16 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

We are looking for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant to provide academic and emotional support to students in a classroom-based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings

  • Assist the class teacher with daily lesson activities and learning plans

  • Promote positive behaviour and help students develop social and emotional skills

  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

  • Provide pastoral support and help manage challenging behaviour

  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience preferred)

  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
