We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in Secondary school for those with SEMH needs. This school recently received a Good from OFSTED and is actively looking for individuals, particularly those working in Behaviour support, to propel them to the next level of ‘Outstanding’. The ideal candidate would be someone who:
- Experience working with social, emotional and mental health
- Experience of challenging behaviour
- Can keep calm under pressure
- Has a warm and friendly personality.

The staff nurture and support all children on their personal learning journey.
Due to the needs of the pupils a lot of support is provided in and out of the classroom. Your role would be to provide positive reassurance to a pupil within the classroom and social interactions. This would include deescalating difficult situations, providing motivational and support in times of crisis and assisting with class work.
The school is based in the South Wigan area so is easy to get via bus or car.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
