As a leader in secondary teaching assistant recruitment, we know what makes a great teaching assistant, and we're here to help connect you to the best jobs around the country. I am working alongside Schools in the Nottingham area and am in constant need of Teacher Assistants to help support classes in the lead up to GCSE and A level exams.

What is a Teaching Assistant?

Teaching assistants support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom. Activities you may be involved in include helping children with work, administrative duties, getting classroom ready and 1:1 support.

The ideal Candidate:

We would like to hear from anybody with previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or anybody who has worked in a similar capacity such as a Youth Worker or Support Worker. Experience working with challenging behaviour or supporting specific individual needs is also an advantage. We would also like to hear from any recent graduates who are considering enrolling on a PGCE or similar Teacher Training Programme but would like to gain further experience as a Teaching Assistant to strengthen their applications.

  • Recent experience working with children aged 11 - 16
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to motivate others and de-escalate difficult situations
  • Training in managing challenging behaviour
