Year 4 Teaching Assistant required for long term position in North Manchester Primary School M9

General Teaching Assistant with an element of intervention

A Primary School in North Manchester have come exclusively to Teaching Personnel to recruit a general Year 4 Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. The school is in the Blackley area of North Manchester which has a multi-cultural and diverse community feeding in to the school. The school has made vast improvements under the guidance of the new Head Teacher and is said to be a much happier place to work due to this. In the Key Stage 2 department there is a high percentage of EAL and SEN which is supported with Teaching Assistants being deployed as 1:1 support for those pupils with additional needs.

The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who can hit the ground running from day one in the class. Behaviour Management will need to be a strong attribute for the successful candidate to be able to support the teacher in the general lessons throughout the day. The candidate must also be confidant taking small intervention groups for lower ability pupils to help raise attainment from the lowest ability up. If you are level 2 or 3 qualified you are encouraged to apply for this role.

The school are looking to hold interviews in the next few days with a view to their being a certain amount of transition days leading up to the start in January. If you have KS2 experience you are also encouraged to apply.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
