We’re looking for a passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary school in Peterlee. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in a welcoming school where every child’s progress matters. You will be working in a Year 4 class, providing general class support.
The role is to start after half-term and should you get on well the school have capacity for you to go permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing the classroom
- Support small groups or individual students, especially those who need extra help
- Create engaging learning activities and encourage independent learning
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Work with students with special educational needs (SEND) when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
