Teaching Assistant, Leyland

Date posted : 09/07/19
£9.50 - £10.50 per hour

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel exclusively work with a School in the Leyland who cater for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours.

The School are currently expanding and currently have the need for a permanent member of staff starting in September.

There may be more opportunities at this School all starting between September and December too as they are due to gain 12 new pupils in the new academic year!

The School cater for KS3/4 pupils with a range of needs and you will be expected to work with pupils who display challenging, sometimes even violent behaviours.

The role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, an NQT or HLTA looking to gain more experience in a Behavioural Unit (Teaching roles may also become available from January) or candidates with a passion for working with pupils who are particularly challenging or harder to reach.

Your job role will require you to work between 2 sites (therefore, you ideally need to be a driver) and you will support the class Teacher with the delivery of innovative lessons, help manage behaviours, occasionally deliver small group intervention sessions and provide 1:1 support for the pupils.

I cannot stress this enough; the School is very high energy and candidates MUST be able to be on top form and stay positive even in challenging situations, candidates applying for this role must be confident, hard working, flexible and have bags of personality! The staff in School are all very welcoming and they all have very unique personalities and interests, therefore, it is imperative you can blend in with the team!

The School are looking to interview and trial candidates before the end of term so if you are interested please contact me ASAP on 01772 842155.

Pay for the role will be £9.50 - £10.50 per hour and candidates must be able to work the full School hours which are 8.45am - 4pm Monday - Friday.
