Job Title: Teaching Assistant (KS2 Interventions)
Location: Accrington, Lancashire
Contract: Full-time, school hours
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team in Accrington. This role will focus on delivering small group interventions in Key Stage 2, supporting children to achieve their full potential in core subjects.
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver small group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and other areas as required.

Provide targeted support to pupils to help close attainment gaps.

Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, feeding back to teachers.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Support children’s social and emotional development alongside their academic progress.
Person Specification:
-
Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school or KS2 setting.
-
A patient, nurturing, and encouraging approach.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification) desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
