Job Advert – SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School, Accrington
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Salary: Dependent on experience
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team at our primary school in Accrington. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Provide tailored support to help pupils access the curriculum and develop essential life skills.
-
Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
-
Support pupils in developing their confidence, independence, and positive relationships.
-
Encourage and promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Able to use initiative and adapt strategies to meet individual pupil needs.

A good communicator, with strong teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
