SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 3 | Start September 2025 

Are you looking for a rewarding part-time role in education? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Wimborne is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact, supporting pupils aged 11–14 with a range of learning and communication needs, in a nurturing and structured environment.

 

Your Role Will Include:

  • Supporting students in class and through targeted small group work

  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and engagement in learning

  • Assisting teachers with classroom routines and lesson delivery

  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Building meaningful, supportive relationships with pupils

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN

  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills

  • A flexible and reliable approach to working part-time

  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
