An exciting and rewarding opportunity to support a number of students in a mainstream secondary school, offering in class support and acting as a mentor throughout school.
- Full time Teaching Assistant required from September 2020
- Supporting a number of identified students that have Special Educational Needs
- Join a supportive and friendly SEN department
- Secondary school in Prestwich – Close to Metrolink stop
- Role until the end of the academic year in the first instance
- Introduction to a permanent role for the perfect candidate
- Earn up to GBP1400 per month (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Prospective applicants will ideally have experience of working along side and supporting young people, wishing to see them succeed whilst becoming the best possible young adults. Applicants that have experience as a Sports Coach, Youth Worker or other roles that include working with teenagers will hold many transferable skills for this role.
This mixed comprehensive secondary school is located in Prestwich, close to many public transport options and a short drive from the M60 motorway. The SENCO is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join the team of support staff who offer both in class provision as well as out of class support in a mentoring capacity. Students may display challenging behaviour, have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or require extra support because of cognitive complexities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
