Teaching Assistant

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a new role in an SEN School? 

Are you experienced in working with pupils with additional needs? 

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a Preston based SEN School which caters for KS1 / 2 pupils with additional needs including; Autism, Learning Difficulties, ADHD, Physical Disabilities and SEMH Difficulties. The School is smaller than average and caters for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education due to their needs. Most pupils are supported on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis and candidates must be willing to provide personal care when required. Some of the pupils may display difficult behaviours, so candidates must be confident in their classroom management skills. 

The School would ideally like a candidate who has come from a Primary education background and is familiar with the curriculum. The School is based on the outskirts of Preston and the role is full time (school hours 8.35am - 3.15pm) and long term (until Easter 2021 at least). The role could become permanent for the right candidate and candidates applying must be team players, hard working and empathetic.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
