Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistants required for the new academic year beginning September 2020.

Teaching Personnel recruits exceptional support staff to support students within SEN schools, including those with learning difficulties, Autism, physical disabilities, behavioural difficulties and mental health needs.

Within special needs schools, classes have no more than 10 students in so you will be working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis. You will be supporting the class teacher to provide a positive learning environment and encouraging studets to reach their full potential. 

Signing up to an agency for a teaching assistant position would suit you if you have some or all of the following:

• Full time availability from September 2020, term time only
• Experience supporting children with SEN/challenging behaviour
• A background in care, education, psychology, sociology, SEN or youth work
• Training in behaviour management, understanding autism or mental health difficulties
• Patience and the ability to remain calm at all times

You must have a child workforce DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one ASAP.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
