Teaching Assistant

I am currently working on behalf of a reputable Primary School in Thornton Cleveleys. The SENCO and Headteacher of the school are keen to secure an experienced practitioner to work alongside children across Y1 and Y2 delivering interventions and small group work to pupils with additional needs. The role will be working alongside two class teachers and working collaboratively to plan to suit the needs of each individual. The successful applicant will track interventions and liaise regularly with the class teachers and school SENCO regarding the progression of each child. Experience of delivering phonics would be advantageous as would experience of working alongside children with Speech and Language difficulties however this is not an essential requirement.

This role has been created as a result of the Catch-up funding issued by the government and the role is expected to continue until the end of the academic year at least. Rates of pay are competitive for work of this nature and start at GBP10 per hour. The role is to begin as soon as possible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
