An outstanding sixth form college is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support during the new academic year from the end of August:
This sixth form college situated in the inner-city area of central Manchester is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to start with them on Monday 24th August.
The successful teaching assistant will be required from appointment for the remainder of the academic year with potential to continue onto a college based contract part way through the placement. This assignment will initially be via Teaching Personnel on a supply basis giving full flexibility over the role to try out the position.
The role of the teaching assistant at this co-educational sixth form college is to fulfil a full 360 degree role including supporting students in lessons, assisting any students who are identified as having SEN and supporting students with movement around the college from lesson to lesson. The successfully appointed teaching assistant will be expected to be adaptable, confident and motivated to succeed taking on the wide variety of positions.
Key aspects of this teaching assistant role:
- Full time teaching assistant required starting on Monday 24th August as the college goes back after the summer break.
- Pay will range between GBP1200 - GBP1400 per month; hours dependent
- 1 year fixed term contract for the successful teaching assistant progressing onto and earning a college based contract from as soon as possible
The college is in the central Manchester area close to the major bus route. It is therefore easy for any teaching assistants to get to this college utilising the public transport network. This is close to the areas of Chorlton, Rusholme, Whalley Range, Withington and Longsight.
This sixth form are looking ahead to the new academic year and are keen to recruit a confident, motivated teaching assistant that is looking to work in a supportive sixth form college. This role is a great opportunity for a graduate, former teaching assistant or youth worker looking for more responsibility and experience in supporting students. Any cover supervisors or graduates with any relevant or related work experience are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
