Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in South Sheffield, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support behaviour. The school is a 'Good' school with links to the tram and good bus routes. The setting benefits from a new building and outdoor area, with fresh new resources. 

We are looking for an experienced staff member, who has supported children with challenging behaviour on a 121 basis and within small groups. As part of this role, you will work alongside senior staff members to tailor a behaviour plan for key children, working with these staff members and the class teacher to manage behaviour in a consistent way. Some of the children you will be working with will require Nurture support, or time out of the classroom, so you may be expected to plan and lead sessions outside of the classroom.  Ideally you will have additional training such as Team Teach/MAPA/THRIVE. We are looking for someone who is calm and patient and able to use positive behaviour management strategies. 

Our ideal behaviour specialist;

• Calm and patient attitude 
• Able to use positive behaviour management techniques 
• Happy to use own initiative to lead sessions outside of the classroom 
• Can support on a 121 basis or with small groups 
• Experienced supporting children who express challenging behaviour 
• Can work with other professionals and parents to create behaviour plans
