1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 3
Teaching Personnel, Liverpool, has an exciting opportunity at a mainstream primary school in North Liverpool for a Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 student with autism and additional learning needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with the individual to assist them with their work and support their additional needs.
Applicants must have experience of working with children or adults with autism and additional needs
The position will be starting in October on a full time long term basis, possibly until July 2021 dependant upon funding.
Salary and Hours:
Hourly pay rate - GBP10 - GBP11 dependant on experience and qualifications
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Possible opportunity of temp to perm for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- To support the Class Teacher
- Ensure the individual's additional needs are met
- Promote therapeutic relationships between staff, young people and the community
- Be a good and caring mentor
Requirements
- Experience with special educational needs.
- Teaching Assistant level 1 or above would be ideal but not essential
- DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
- Rights to work in the UK - Passport or full birth certificate
- Be able to commute to the North Liverpool area
