Teaching Assistant Required, Surrey

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a client special needs primary school in the Reigate area. Due to new funding, the school are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant who can offer 1:1 support to a student with Autism Spectrum Condition. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Education environment and will have a compassionate attitude towards assisting learning for children with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work with the student 1:1, supporting with all areas of the curriculum as well as providing emotional and social support, behaviour mentoring and assistance with occupational therapies. The head teacher of the school is looking for a candidate who has experience working with children with additional needs in some capacity, however training will be provided. An optimistic attitude and a willingness to learn will go a very long way within this role.

The role is to work in a ‘Outstanding’ school which is located in the Surrey area. The school has been praised for it's quality of teaching, learning and assessment in recent years and for generally attaining high levels of impact on pupil progress. The school are looking for a proactive and passionate Teaching Assistant who will adhere to the schools hard working ethos.

This lovely, special needs primary school has a strong ‘community’ feel and is looking for someone to get involved with all aspects of school life. This role will start ASAP and will be on going subject to funding. The opportunity to work for the school on a permanent basis may be possible for the right person.

  • Full time position, Delayed start date

  • GBP10 Hourly rate

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
