Secondary Teaching Assistant

Are you aspiring to become a teacher in the future and want to gain more experience in schools before doing so? Or are you a highly experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next position? If so, we would love to hear from you!  

We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant at a large secondary school based in the Middlesbrough area. This "Good" school is seeking a full-time learning support assistant to help and support in their SEN department, starting in approx 2 weeks. 

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support students with a range of special needs on a 1-1 basis and in small groups. 

** Applicants are required to be educated up to degree level or have teaching assistant qualifications. Previous experience supporting the learning of pupils in secondary education is desirable but not essential. **

Teaching Assistant Overview:

  • Earn between GBP1250 to GBP1300 a month
  • Employment for the rest of the academic year.
  • Full time position

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in a range of subjects including your specialist subject
  • Inspire pupils (aged 11-16) to reach their full potential in education
  • Be responsible for running revision sessions and lunch time learning clubs
  • Lead sessions for small groups in the lead up to examinations
  • Support pupils with SEN

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
