Job Opportunity: Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced and dedicated Autism Specialist with a passion for making a positive impact on the educational journey of students? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at a reputable secondary school in Cheadle.
Position: Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant
Location: Cheadle, Greater Manchester
School Rating: Ofsted Good
Contract: ASAP until the end of the academic year, with potential for a permanent role
Salary: £1500 - £1700 per month (depending on experience)
About the Role:
Join our committed team as an Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant, providing invaluable support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your role will involve creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, helping students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing individualized support plans for students with Autism.
- Providing one-on-one assistance in the classroom and during specific activities.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create an inclusive educational setting.
- Monitoring and recording the progress and development of students with Autism.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Autism Specialist or supporting students with Autism.
- In-depth knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and evidence-based interventions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique requirements of each student.
