Opportunity to provide focused support for pupils aged 11-16 within a secondary school in Bolton.

  • Full-time Teaching Assistant.
  • Required from January 2021 until the end of the academic year.
  • Ensuring class teachers have the support they require both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Supporting pupils in both mainstream classrooms and within the SEN department.
  • Earn between GBP1350 and GBP1400 per month.
  • Must have transferrable experience to work within an educational setting.
  • Any specific experience with Special Educational Needs is desirable.

Our client school has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is known for its welcoming staff community. The school has recently incorporated a new SEN department to support pupils with learning difficulties and specific needs. This department includes specifically designed facilities and equipment for students with SEN to support them in reaching their targets.

Most of the work involved will be working with students in small groups however; they may also be some 1:1 work for those pupils who need specific types of intervention.

Our client secondary school is based in Bolton; close by to the town centre with excellent links to public transport from surrounding areas such as Bury, Prestwich and Farnworth. The school is also accessible via the M62 and A58 from surrounding areas of Bolton including central Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
