Teaching Personnel are currently working with an Alternative Provision who are looking to recruit two new Teaching Assistants to start ASAP.
The Alternative Provision are looking for Teaching Assistants who are based in the Worksop area.
The provision caters for students aged 5 - 18 years old. The role involves providing One to One, Small groups & Vocational courses across the East Midlands. The role also involves offering short & long term interventions, through to full time delivery and management of education for a young person.
Your role will include:
- Working on a personalised timetable
- Working one to one with two students per day
- Planning and adapting lesson plans for each student
- Transporting students between home and the learning locations
- For each student you are required to have your own vehicle in order to transports the students and do extra-curricula activities with them.
- Your role will be to follow schemes of work and plan/adapt your resources (although some resources will be available and you will have the direct support of a line manager).
The ideal candidate MUST HAVE:
- Experience supporting students from age 5 to 18, and confident in lesson/activity planning
- Full Driving License
- Car Business Insurance
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a Degree related to Education
- Previous experience in an education, youth or residential setting
- Additional CPD such as Autism Awareness, Team Teach or Safeguarding (desired but not essential)
- A nurturing and calming attitude
- Knowledge of Makaton, PECS or BSL (Desirable but NOT essential)
