Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently collaborating with a well-established mainstream secondary school in Weymouth, who are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. The position is available for a September Start.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about education and eager to build a long-term career within a school environment. Should you thrive in this role, there is potential for the position to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students aged 11-16, both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and time management.
  • Encouraging students' academic and personal growth.
  • Providing support for students’ physical, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting.
  • Confidence working with children in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and strong time management skills.
  • Passion for supporting children’s academic and emotional needs.
  • A solid understanding of the secondary Maths and English curriculum.
  • Enthusiasm, calmness, and motivation to make a positive impact.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
