Kickstart Your Career in Education – Trainee Teaching Assistant (Warrington)

This paid, full-time position begins in September 2025 and is designed for individuals who want to gain first-hand experience of life in the classroom. Whether your long-term goal is to become a teacher, work in SEND, pastoral care, or educational psychology, this role will give you the grounding and skills you need.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils in lessons, both in small groups and one-to-one.

Assisting teachers with engaging activities and classroom management.
-
Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
-
Helping prepare lesson resources and contributing to displays.
-
Building strong, positive relationships with staff, students and parents.

Taking part in training sessions, shadowing opportunities and CPD workshops.
What we’re looking for:

A motivated, approachable individual who enjoys working with young people.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn new skills.

A positive attitude and the confidence to get involved.
Desirable but not essential:

Experience working or volunteering with children/young people.

An interest in pursuing a career in education.
-
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
