Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistants
Location: Wareham and surrounding areas
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day and short-term supply, with potential for longer-term roles
Salary: £85–£95 per day (dependent on experience)

Overview
Teaching Personnel is recruiting reliable and adaptable Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools in the Wareham area. Schools require flexible staff who can cover short-notice absences and contribute positively to classroom learning.

Role Responsibilities
• Support pupils in class, small groups, and 1:1
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, behaviour management, and resource preparation
• Encourage pupil engagement and positive learning behaviours
• Adapt quickly to different school environments
• Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school policies

Requirements
• Experience working with children or young people (school-based preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Availability for short-notice supply work
• A calm, supportive, and professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
