I am looking for a committed and enthusiastic person to support a child with SEMH on a 1:1 basis and sometimes with other children in small groups. Ideally we are looking for someone with experience of working 1 to 1, but this is not essential. We are willing to be flexible for the right person, on hours and days.

The school is based in Torquay and is an Ofsted rated 'Good'

Ideally I am looking for candidates who have an NVQ level 2 or equivalent working with children.
Your role will involve working on a 1:1 basis in and out of the classroom, working very closely with the class teacher; planning and reviewing the progress of the child. In addition to class hours you may be required to do lunch time supervision of individual children.

The schools require individuals who:
- Are sensitive to the needs of individual children
- Can make the curriculum exciting and personalise it to the needs of the child.
- Are passionate about helping children to learn and provide them with a range of opportunities and suitable challenge.
- Can improve the outcomes for children with additional needs.
- Helps children overcome barriers to learning.
- Shows commitment, enthusiasm and empathy.
- Are flexible to work as part of a team and with the wider community of professionals.
