Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a large, vibrant, and inclusive primary school in Swinton to recruit a full-time Teaching Assistant for their Year 1 team. This role has arisen due to a planned staff absence within Key Stage 1 and will begin in February.

Role Overview

• Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant
• Hours: Full-time, 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher and HLTA in planning and delivering structured learning activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a well-managed classroom environment.
• Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning space.
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and carers to support each child’s progress and wellbeing.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
