KS1 Teaching Assistant – Mainstream & SEN Inclusion Unit – Southampton
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in an infant school setting? Do you have a passion for supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a warm and welcoming infant school in Southampton who are seeking a committed Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, working across both the mainstream KS1 classrooms and within the school’s dedicated SEN Inclusion Unit.

About the school:
This inclusive and community-focused infant school prides itself on offering tailored support for all learners, with a strong emphasis on nurturing the whole child. Their well-established SEN unit supports a small group of pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and autism.
We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience supporting children with SEMH or additional needs

Understands the importance of early intervention and inclusive practice
-
Is confident working 1:1 and in small groups within both class and specialist settings
-
Can work effectively alongside teachers and the SENCO to deliver individual support plans
-
Brings energy, empathy and a proactive approach to their role every day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
