Job description

Experienced Learning Support Assistant – SEN Focus

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Teaching Personnel are proud to be working alongside a fantastic primary school in Locksheath, who are seeking a skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who thrives in a supportive role and is confident working closely with pupils with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those requiring communication and sensory support.

The Role:

You’ll be working one-to-one and in small group settings, providing tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs. Experience with Mackintosh software is highly desirable, as it plays a key role in the school's communication and learning strategies. This is a full-time role with the potential to continue long-term for the right candidate.

The Ideal Educator Will:

  • Have proven experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting

  • Show resilience, patience, and a nurturing approach to learning

  • Work well within a team, but also take initiative when needed

  • Be dedicated to helping pupils overcome barriers and achieve their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
