Learning Support Assistant – 1:1 & Intervention Support – Primary School

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school setting, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as delivering small group interventions across the school.

We have opportunities available in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, making this an excellent role for someone who is passionate about supporting children at different stages of their learning journey. The school is looking for a patient, proactive individual who can help pupils build confidence, overcome barriers to learning, and make positive progress in the classroom.

The role:

• Supporting pupils 1:1 within the classroom

• Delivering targeted intervention sessions in areas such as literacy and numeracy

• Working closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support individual learning plans

• Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and positive behaviour

• Supporting pupils both academically and socially throughout the school day

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within a school environment

• Be confident supporting pupils with additional learning needs

• Demonstrate patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach

• Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and pupils

• Be committed to supporting pupils to reach their full potential
