Teaching Assistant

The Headteacher of a reputable Primary School located in Skelmersdale is keen to secure a full time Teaching Assistant to support within Y3. This is a new role to the school and the position will be 8:45-12:45 Monday to Friday each week. The key responsibilities for the successful applicant as an additional member of staff you will be working alongside small groups of pupils providing 1:3 support targeted at closing gaps in learning as a result of school closures. You will be required to liaise closely alongside the class teacher and SENCO. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner who has recently completed their teaching assistant and has trained across KS2 or also for an experienced teaching assistant ready for their next challenge.

This role has cropped up due to additional funding received as a result of school closures and learning lost. There is the potential for this temporary role to transition onto a school contract from September 2021 and the role will begin on a full time temporary basis term time only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
