Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant in Sturminster Newton, supporting pupils within a secondary school environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an important role in their education and development.
About the position
You will provide valuable support to teachers and pupils throughout the school day, helping students engage with lessons and access the curriculum. Depending on your experience, you may work with individual pupils, small groups or provide general classroom assistance.
We're keen to hear from candidates who have worked in secondary schools, primary schools, SEND settings, childcare, youth work or similar environments.
The successful candidate will have:

Experience working with children or young people

A supportive and encouraging approach

Strong communication skills
-
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils

Patience, resilience and a flexible attitude
-
A willingness to support pupils with a range of learning needs
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, LSA, SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or Classroom Assistant would be beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
