Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Dorchester, with the opportunity to start ASAP.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with young people and is keen to support students in reaching their potential. You will play an important role in the classroom, working alongside teachers and providing additional support to students who may benefit from extra guidance with their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting students during lessons and helping them remain engaged with their learning

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required

• Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging classroom activities

• Helping students develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits

• Supporting students with a range of educational and pastoral needs

• Creating a calm, positive and inclusive classroom environment

About You:

• Experience working with children or young people is advantageous

• A patient, encouraging and approachable manner

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• The ability to adapt to different students and classroom situations

• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting young people
