Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for a new and rewarding role in education?
Are you looking to develop your skills and build relationships with young people?
One of our partnership schools in South Manchester are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team!
The school based in South Manchester supports students from the age of 5-18 with a variety of needs such as challenging behaviour, Anxiety, and disengagement from education.
The school offers smaller class sizes as well as a variety of vocational courses to suit the needs of all the students.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will support students and staff with the student’s social and emotional needs as well as building relationships with both students and staff.
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience of working with children and young adults with additional needs and behavioural issues.
- Have a calm and patient manner in difficult situations.
- Experience working within a school or care setting.
As part of safer recruitment guidelines, all candidates will be subject to standard vetting checks. Including:
- Two previous employment references that cover the last 2 years
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service- this can be applied for through Teaching Personnel
- If you have lived outside of the UK for 6 months or more in the last 5 years, you will be required to present an overseas criminal check (police check)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
