Are you a passionate and resilient HLTA looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Our client, a welcoming and supportive SEN school in Rochdale, is seeking a dedicated HLTA to work primarily with students presenting behaviour-based needs.
Role Details:

Position: High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Location: Rochdale, Greater Manchester

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent appointment)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Responsibilities:
-
Supporting students with complex behavioural needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
-
Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement behaviour management strategies.
-
Delivering tailored interventions and supporting learning across the curriculum.
-
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
-
Assisting in the development of individual education and behaviour plans.
Requirements:
-
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
-
Previous experience supporting students with behavioural difficulties, preferably in an SEN setting.

Strong behaviour management skills, patience, and resilience.
-
A calm, empathetic approach to challenging situations.
-
Team Teach training is highly desirable (or a willingness to undertake training).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
