Teaching Personnel are currently seeking outstanding teaching assistants to support pupils aged 3-19 years old on a part time basis. The students present with a range of SEN including Autism, ADHD, PMLD and complex medical needs.

The school is rated "Good" by Ofsted and has recently had a refurbishment and had state of the art equipment installed including specialist sensory equipment to enhance pupils learning. The school personalise education for each of their pupils and assist children to reach and beat educational targets. The students also respond well to a nurturing style of education and teaching assistants who have a back ground in care and support often receive great feedback from the school.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with children and young people either in education or health care settings.
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative, as well as contributing to a team
  • Previous experience working with children who present with SEN
  • Good understanding of the National Curriculum at a primary and/or secondary level
  • Confident to manage challenging behaviour and re-engage students who are disaffected and not currently engaged in their education
  • Be able to participate in any extra-curricular activities required
