Day Rate: £140 - £160 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Job Description:
Are you a warm, caring and committed individual who wants to make a genuine difference in children’s lives? We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team from September 2025.
Located in Northampton central, our vibrant three-form entry school prides itself on a creative curriculum and a strong team spirit that inspires both staff and pupils. Whether you're working one-to-one, in small groups, or with a whole class, you'll play a vital role in helping every child reach their potential in a happy, nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:
- Support learning in the classroom, working one-to-one, in small groups, or across whole-class settings.
- Assist with personal care and tailored learning for children with specific needs, with full supervision and support.
- Contribute to planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging, inclusive activities under teacher guidance.
- Help prepare and maintain a purposeful, well-resourced learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families to foster development and wellbeing.
- Take part in trips, extra-curricular activities, training, and wider school life.
Requirements:
- Proven experience supporting children in primary school settings, including SEND and EAL needs.
- Relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.
- Ability to use initiative, follow guidance, and communicate effectively with children and adults.
- A patient, cheerful, and nurturing approach with a positive attitude and strong team ethic.
- Willingness to support children with intimate care and undertake First Aid training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
