Day Rate: £140 - £160 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Responsibilities:

• Support learning in the classroom, working one-to-one, in small groups, or across whole-class settings.
• Assist with personal care and tailored learning for children with specific needs, with full supervision and support.
• Contribute to planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging, inclusive activities under teacher guidance.
• Help prepare and maintain a purposeful, well-resourced learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families to foster development and wellbeing.
• Take part in trips, extra-curricular activities, training, and wider school life.

Requirements:

• Proven experience supporting children in primary school settings, including SEND and EAL needs.
• Relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Good numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.
• Ability to use initiative, follow guidance, and communicate effectively with children and adults.
• A patient, cheerful, and nurturing approach with a positive attitude and strong team ethic.
• Willingness to support children with intimate care and undertake First Aid training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
