Teaching Assistants for a Manchester Primary School (M9)

A 600 pupil Primary School in Moston, Manchester, are looking for passionate Teaching Assistants to provide nurture and support for children to use their transferable skills and warm personality to offer their support as a Teaching Assistant.
It’s important to note that you don’t necessarily need previous Teaching Assistant experience to be shortlisted for this role, however some previous experience working with children or young people in different roles is desirable. As there are 6 positions available, there’s opportunity for you to express your preferred age ranges to work with within Primary (4 years old – 11 years old.)
A little bit about the role:

34.75 hours per week (8:15-3:30 4 days per week, 8:30-4:30 one day per week.)

Offering support to children in a classroom environment. Supporting pupils with classwork through small group work or 1:1.

Supporting the class teacher with managing the class environment and the preparation of class work.

AN ABILITY TO HAVE FUN AND ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO HAVE FUN WHILST LEARNING TOO!
Key Abilities:
-
An ability to use a variety of techniques to support children with managing their behaviour.

Experience either in a school, within youth work or care with children and young people.

Have an understanding approach and be a patient individual.

Be reliable and consistent, as this is important for the child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
