Teaching personnel is looking for teaching assistants for a number of schools in the South Manchester area.

The role provides an excellent opportunity for experienced teaching assistants, graduates looking to develop a career in education or those returning to education after a break looking to reacclimatise with the classroom environment.

• You can expect to earn GBP1200 - GBP1350 per month

• Temp to perm opportunities are available if desired

The primary duty of a teaching assistant is to provide support to teachers across any department of the school; this may include helping set up the classroom before a lesson, assisting with marking or handing out work. Dependent on experience it’s commonplace for a TA to assist with the school’s intervention schemes for example providing 1:1 support for a student who may be struggling academically or socially within the school environment.

The ideal candidate:

• Educated to a degree level, although with relevant experience this is not essential
• Has previously worked with Children, within a school environment is preferable but any sort of youth work, sports coaching or tutoring is also beneficial
• Has excellent relationship building skills
• Ideally be available between 7am-8am for same day cover opportunities in the morning, but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
