Excellent opportunity for an aspiring Primary teacher to gain paid experience from September 2020 ahead of teacher training. Teaching personnel are working on behalf of our client primary school in Crumpsall who wish to recruit a talented individual to their team of support staff from September 2020. The school work in partnership with universities offering trainee teachers a placement each year and therefore wish to appoint a graduate to this teaching assistant vacancy to encourage teacher training in the future. A degree and background working with children in any capacity are required for applicants, you will work alongside class teachers in KS1 and KS2 and in time cover PPA and deliver intervention to small groups. - Graduate teaching assistant vacancy, September 2020 start - Required for the full academic year of 20/21 - Rate of pay GBP65 per day (6-hour working day) initially through TP - Opportunity to earn a school temporary contract from January 2021 - Working alongside class teachers in KS1/KS2 on a full time basis - IDEAL opportunity for aspiring Primary teachers of the future To be considered for this position you will need to have a passion for education and improving the academic and social development of primary aged children. Previous experience working in a classroom environment is not essential but would be advantageous, if you have volunteered with children in a similar capacity and have relevant safeguarding training (offered by Teaching Personnel free of charge) your application will be considered. This is a temporary position which will be reviewed on a termly basis, you will report to the Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and work closely with class teachers as a teaching assistant. Other responsibilities include; preparing and setting up lesson activities, working with and supporting children 1:1 in lessons, taking small groups to focus on designated activities and learning outcomes, completing lunchtime playground duties, attending staff briefing and any training events for staff development. If you have graduated or are coming to the end of your studies in the summer of 2020 and wish to pursue a career in education and Primary teaching, working as a graduate teaching assistant is the ideal preparation for your teacher training application.
