We’re working with a well-regarded SEMH school in the Northumberland area, that is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils who face barriers to learning and help them thrive in a structured, supportive environment.
The Role:
- Supporting students with SEMH needs on a 1:1 or small group basis
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour management
- Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging emotional regulation and positive social interaction
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH/SEND needs
- A calm, compassionate, and consistent approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine desire to support students in overcoming challenges
- Team Teach or similar training (desirable but not essential)
This role is perfect for those with experience in education, youth work, care, or behaviour support!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
