Teaching Assistant
Job description

If you are looking for a new role and you are L3 qualified or equivalent, we may just have your perfect role!
Teaching Personnel currently supports a number of schools in East Sussex where the demand for Level 3 Teaching Assistants has increased rapidly in the past month. Schools are now preparing for September.
Due to the current climate, many children are only receiving the support and guidance from a parent/carer at home in regards to their learning and well-being. There will be a significant number of students who will require additional support in order to catch up on what they have missed. Many lower ability learners will have widened the gap further between themselves and their peers in regards to their progress with the long break. Schools will be faced with children returning in September who will have had no structure or formal education since March - these children will need 121 support or work in small groups to combat anxiety and behaviour and bridge the gap in their learning.
As a result of this, we are on the look out for new and experienced L3 TAs to meet the demands of our partnership schools.
One of our main focus areas at present is East Sussex. We have already supported teaching assistants in East Sussex to find their ideal role (September start) with the demand increasing on a daily basis.
The ideal Level 3 teaching assistant would:
- Have a relevant qualification or have a minimum of 6 months experience in an educational based setting
- Have a passion for engaging students and watching them develop into life long learners, always going the extra mile to create a fun and positive learning environment
- Have a Child Workforce Only DBS on the update service as well as two relevant referees to provide you with a graded reference from the last 6 years spanning over a minimum of 11 months.
In return for you having the above, Teaching Personnel can offer you various opportunities in regards to CPD as well as clear pathways if you decide you want to take the next step in your career in becoming a HLTA or teacher.
If you are interested in a role through Teaching Personnel, don't hesitate - apply today!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
