Full-Time General Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Gosport
Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join our busy primary school team in Gosport.

Role Overview:

As a teaching assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning across the curriculum, help manage classroom activities, and assist children who need extra support. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in young lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting classroom teaching and learning activities

• Helping individual pupils or small groups with their work

• Assisting with behaviour management and promoting a positive learning environment

• Preparing and tidying classroom resources

• Supporting children with additional needs

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting (desirable but not essential)

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach

• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
