Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Garstang

Start date: 2nd September 2024

Contract: Temporary – permanent

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils who require additional help in the classroom, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and thriving in their learning.

-          The ability to inspire and motivate pupils, enabling them to make remarkable progress in their academic, social, and independent skills.

-          Experience in handling challenging behaviours and creating a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

-          Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students.

-          Monitor and assess the progress of pupils, providing valuable feedback to aid their development.

-          Offer accurate comments and reports on individual students' achievements to assist the classroom teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
