Job Duties:

• Supporting classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans
• Assisting with the supervision and support of students
• Providing one-to-one support for students with special educational needs
• Helping to create a positive learning environment
• Assisting with classroom management and behaviour monitoring

Required Qualifications:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Education:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience:

Prior experience working in an educational setting is desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
• Basic understanding of child development and learning processes
• Patience and empathy towards students

Preferred Qualifications:

First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role will involve working in a classroom setting, following the school term calendar. The teaching assistant may need to provide support during extracurricular activities or school events.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
