Teaching Personnel is working closely with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Exeter to recruit a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant for a full-time temporary role.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting both the teacher and pupils to ensure every child receives the encouragement and guidance they need to reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a rewarding and dynamic setting.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting class teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support, particularly in literacy and numeracy
-
Helping to manage classroom behaviour in a positive and proactive way
-
Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays
-
Supporting pupils with additional needs, ensuring they feel included and confident

What We’re Looking For:

Passionate about working with children and supporting their development

Patient, reliable, and confident in the classroom

Able to use their initiative and work well as part of a team

Ideally experienced in a primary school or similar setting (but not essential)
A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) is desirable but not required. A DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
Pay & Benefits:

Daily rate: £90 - £100 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Contract: Temporary, full-time (term time only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
