Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Didsbury (Start Date: December)

A warm and inclusive primary school in Didsbury is working in partnership with Teaching Personnel to recruit a caring, proactive, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from December.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing and collaborative school environment.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping pupils thrive both academically and socially. Working closely with the class teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering one-to-one and small group support across a range of subjects
• Assisting with lesson preparation, classroom activities, and pupil assessments
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL
• Encouraging positive behaviour and helping maintain classroom routines
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families to support holistic development
• Contributing to school life, including events, enrichment activities, and team planning

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, dependable, and committed to making a difference. Ideally, you will have:

• Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting
• A positive and nurturing approach with a genuine interest in education
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet varied learning needs
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential
• Confidence in supporting children with additional needs and using inclusive strategies
