Make a Real Difference Every Day

Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive—both in and out of the classroom? We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and forward-thinking secondary school in the beautiful market town of Chipping Campden.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting their academic progress while helping to nurture emotional wellbeing and confidence.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work flexibly across a range of classes, offering both general classroom support and focused 1:1 intervention for students who need a little extra help to stay on track.

Whether you’re helping a student manage their emotions, reinforcing key learning points, or creating a calm and structured environment, your support will be essential in ensuring all students feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.

You’ll work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral leads to make sure every child is seen, heard, and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-class support to students across KS3 and KS4

  • Deliver 1:1 or small group support to students with additional needs

  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

  • Help prepare learning materials and classroom activities

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students

  • Support transitions during the school day (breaks, lessons, and changeovers)

  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, respectful, and positive school culture

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives

  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills

  • A team player who is flexible and proactive

  • Confidence to support a wide range of learning and emotional needs

  • Experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential – we value the right attitude above all

Why Join Us?

  • Work in a warm and welcoming school at the heart of the Chipping Campden community

  • Be part of a team that’s truly dedicated to student wellbeing and achievement

  • Gain experience that’s perfect for those considering a future in teaching, youth work, or psychology

  • Enjoy opportunities for ongoing training and development

  • Make a lasting impact every single day

If you're someone who wants to support, inspire, and uplift young people during a crucial stage in their lives, we’d love to hear from you.
