Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant | B35 Area | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Whole Academic Year | Via Teaching Personnel

Are you experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream school environment? Teaching Personnel is looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a busy primary school in the B35 area, working full-time throughout the academic year.

Role Overview:

  • Provide dedicated support to children with SEN within a mainstream primary classroom

  • Assist with delivering tailored learning activities and interventions to meet individual needs

  • Support personal care duties as required, with sensitivity and respect

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment

  • Attend weekly school meetings to discuss pupil progress and strategies

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (full-time)
Position available for the full academic year

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven school-based experience supporting children with SEN in a mainstream setting

  • Relevant qualifications in SEN support or a Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent) are highly desirable

  • Patient, understanding, and adaptable to individual children’s needs

  • Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks

  • Reliable, proactive, and a collaborative team player

  • Based in or able to commute to the B35 area
