Exciting Opportunity: Teaching Assistants

Are you passionate about education and committed to supporting the learning and development of young people? Are you looking to make a positive impact within a vibrant school environment? We have an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join an Ofsted good secondary school in Bramhall on a full-time basis. This role is available to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent based on performance.

Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers and supporting students across various subjects and year groups. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Classroom Support: Collaborating with teachers to deliver engaging and interactive lessons, helping to clarify concepts, reinforce learning objectives, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

  2. One-to-One and Small Group Tuition: Providing tailored support to students who require additional assistance with their learning, helping them to overcome challenges, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals through targeted interventions and personalised learning strategies.

  3. Resource Preparation: Assisting in the preparation and organisation of learning materials, resources, and equipment, ensuring they are accessible, relevant, and used effectively to enhance student learning and engagement.

  4. Behaviour Management: Implementing positive behaviour management strategies, promoting respectful and cooperative behaviour, and assisting in addressing any behavioural or pastoral concerns to create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment.

  5. Assessment and Feedback: Supporting teachers in assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and monitoring academic achievements. You will assist with the preparation and marking of assignments, exams, and coursework, helping to identify areas for improvement and celebrate student successes.

  6. Collaboration and Communication: Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers to foster a collaborative approach to education. You will communicate regularly with key stakeholders, sharing updates on student progress, discussing strategies for improvement, and providing feedback to inform teaching practice.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the learning and well-being of students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships and collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage resources, maintain records, and assist with administrative tasks as required.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, responding to the changing needs of students and the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
